Tuesday Thoughts

Have you heard about the Sandy Hook ducks?  It is a wonderful and therapeutic activity their resource officer began to help the children of Sandy Hook Elementary School begin to heal.  Watch this video to get the back story.  Check out their Facebook page for some ducky pics.

Because I like to involve my students in real-world ways of helping others, I ordered rubber duckies from Oriental Trading so my class could participate.  Each child wrote his/her name on the bottom of a duck.  We enclosed the following pictures and a class letter to let them know about our school.  I hope you'll think about involving your children as well.
