History is Inventive

If your kids love history and trivia, this is the book to give them.  History Is Inventive is full of fascinating information about inventions from ancient to modern times.  Author Brooke Knight shares facts about many inventions and their inventors.  She reveals that some of the inventors we are familiar with aren’t the original mastermind of the inventions.  Some of the inventors never got recognition for their inspired creations.

Although this book is full of facts, it is not at all didactic.  It is a very interesting read that will appeal to fourth graders and older.  It even contains step-by-step directions for building a telescope in the same simple way the inventors did.  I love how she chose to include obscure as well as more familiar inventors.

Brooke Knight not only wrote this book, but she is also the editor-in-chief of Honest History Magazine, a quarterly adventure magazine for young historians. California-born, Brooke spent her childhood in Eastern Europe learning history from a unique perspective that gave her a lifelong passion for research and sharing history with others. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.

  1. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of theliver already present. I started on antiviral medications whichreduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virusbecame resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment fromULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Theirtreatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test afterthe 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazingtreatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
