Saturday Survey/Linky

Are you counting down weeks or days of school left?  A few of you are already out of school for the summer.  My grandson finished Thursday, and his cousin got out on May 3rd!!

We only have 4 days next week here in Coweta, Oklahoma, and my students are definitely excited.

Leave a message with your countdown number and where you teach.  Don't forget to link up with your blog address.

  1. I have exactly 14 1/2 days left in the school year!!! Students last day is 5/30, which is a 1/2 day and teachers have a Teacher Work Day on Friday, 5/31. Boy I cannot wait!! I plan on making these last few days as fun and enjoyable as possible!

  5. Only 4 days left? Wow!

I won't be counting down the days any time soon. In terms of weeks it's approximately 28 weeks, plus an extra 4 weeks of term holiday breaks. (December is SO far away - lol!)

  6. we have 23 days left for students and 24 for teachers. So excited! You guys in Oklahoma must start pretty early in August. I feel jealous now but in August I will be feeling pretty smug, lol. I think we should all get out now and then start after Labor Day, sort of a common core start and end time. Jannike

  7. We also go to the end of June...not sure how many days that is...ugh! And then I will go straight into summer school...so only 1 week in August off for me this year! (At least summer school is only 4 days a week, 3 hours a day, so I will have plenty of afternoon relaxation time!)

I sure have been enjoying your blog.

    1. I wondered when you might begin. Many schools in America begin after Labor Day - the first Monday of September.

  14. We only have 5 more days and we are all ready at Mustang Valley Elementary! I've taught my little kiddos all they need to know to be successful in First Grade. I hope they don't lose it over the summer! As they say, "Everything you need to know, you learn in kindergarten!" Have a great summer!

  15. There's only 21 more days of school here at Luxford Elementary in Virginia Beach, Virginia! SOL testing started this week for the 4th graders and tomorrow it's the 5th graders turn. My first graders have really used self-control this week to keep things quiet for those testing. They earned their 20th marble yesterday for teamwork and doing such a great job! A movie and lunch in the classroom are planned for this Friday to celebrate. Emjoy a relaxing summer!

    1. I do have mixed feelings. I didn't have the privilege of watching them grow for the entire year but the growth I've seen since January is amazing. I'm so very blessed to work along side another fabulous First Grade teacher. We collaborate beautifully and we always seem to be on the very same page when we share new ideas and plan. That's a God thing. As for next year? Already tilling the soil for fresh seed in the Fall...A new crop? Yes, please! :)
