         Apostrophe Song

Apostrophes hang in the air, in the air.
Apostrophes hang  in the air, in the air.
They hang in the air,
Nowhere else but there.
Apostrophes hang  in the air, in the air.

Use apostrophes to show possession.
Use apostrophes to show possession.
For one noun, apostrophe s.
For plural, it must come last.
Use apostrophes to show possession.

There’s an apostrophe in each contraction.
There’s an apostrophe in each contraction.
An apostrophe’s whereabouts
Is where you take some letters out.
There’s an apostrophe in each contraction.

Apostrophes hang  in the air, in the air.
Apostrophes hang  in the air, in the air.
They hang in the air,
Nowhere else but there.
Apostrophes hang  in the air, in the air.

  1. What an awesome idea for helping students remember where the apostrophe goes!! I love to sing songs, it seems children always remember a song! Thanks for sharing!
