Friday Football

Are you ready for some football?  My class made predictions for the Super Bowl results.  The boys decorated footballs to use for voting.  The girls made pom poms out of 2 strips of their favorite team's colors.  They fringed and rolled them and spread out the fringe.

I'm not sure how the boys made their choices.  Most of the girls made their choices based on the fact that one of the Raven's team colors is purple!

Monday I'll use the chart as a behavior
motivator.  The students who make good choices all day will be in the drawing to
win the chart.

  1. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Long before I even thought of homeschooling, I was also a public school teacher in CT where I was a Developmental Reading Specialist as well as a 3rd grade classroom teacher. I left teaching to be home with my young daughters but thought I would always go back. I never imagined that I would be teaching my own children. It has been a lovely journey of self-discovery.

    Enjoy the Super Bowl!

  3. Jill,

I love this idea so much! I am adding it to my mental list to do next year. I talked about the Super Bowl the day after and it seemed that most my students didn't really know what I was even talking about! I should add that I teach bilingual first graders so it could be that they really do not watch American Football! Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I am looking through yours and loving it!

    Thanks,

    Katie :)
